From our Medical Advisory Committee

COVID 19 reminder to all community members:

We are seeing an increase in covid 19 cases locally and would like to remind community members of the importance of social distancing and use of face masks. We also want to update the community on most recent CDC guidelines as it relates to isolation recommendations.

1. Anyone who has been diagnosed with Covid 19 should isolate for at least 10 days from time of symptom onset.
2. If you were in close contact with an individual diagnosed with covid 19 (including close contact up to 2 days before their symptoms began) you should self-isolate for 14 days.
3. If you had a close contact with covid 19 confirmed person, you should NOT get rapid testing done to determine need for isolation. Close contact of covid positive individuals should isolate regardless of rapid or PCR COVID test results as symptoms may not develop up to 14 days later.
4. False positive and false negative results are very much possible, so before testing please consult with your Physician to ensure whether you should or should not get tested. Be sure to consult with your Physician with any questions you have regarding your symptoms, need for testing, or self-isolation.
